It started with a diffuser that did nothing

Two winters ago the air in our flat got so dry the wooden floor started to creak at night. We ordered a humidifier, the kind that shows up in every ad. It arrived, it puffed a small grey cloud into the corner, and that was the whole show. Within a week it lived in a cupboard.

That is the moment BoomyGate comes from. A product you pay for, use twice, and forget.

The evening we found this one

A friend who imports homeware sent a short clip from a supplier showroom: five thin columns of mist rising out of a bowl and folding into jellyfish, then swaying when someone put music on. We asked for a sample and set it on the bedside table.

We meant to test it for ten minutes. We sat there for most of an hour. The room smelled of the lavender we had dropped in, the air lost its dryness, and neither of us looked at a phone. That was the first product we decided to sell, and the reason we decided to sell it alone.

One product at a time

Most stores sell forty things and describe none of them well. We sell one, and we spend the time on the page instead. You get the real dimensions, what is in the box, what it needs to run, and a straight answer to the question that matters: will it look like the video in my room.

When we add a second product it will be because we have used it for weeks in our own home, the way we have used this one.

How we pick

We look for products that change a room, not products that solve a spreadsheet problem. Something you notice in the evening, something a guest asks about. Then we check the boring things: the plug, the water, the noise, what the supplier will and will not confirm. If a detail cannot be confirmed, it does not go on the page.

What we cover

Every order ships free in the US and leaves within three business days. If it arrives broken or wrong, tell us within 30 days. We replace it or refund you and pay the return postage. We would rather send a second unit than argue about the first.
